Job description

Summary:

Mu-Del Electronics is looking for an RF Electronics Filter Tuning & Test Technician to perform testing and tuning of precision frequency filters fabricated by Mu-Del Electronics. These filters cover a wide frequency spectrum from DC to 40 GHz and are either lump element filters or cavity filters.

This job requires a highly motivated individual who has experience with:

  • Network analyzers
  • Troubleshooting failing filters – determining what is required to get the filter working correctly
  • Tuning lump element filters through adjusting inductors so frequency response meets filter’s design specifications
  • Tuning cavity filters through adjusting capacitance (tuning screws) so frequency response meets the filter’s design specifications

Key Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with Associates or Vocational degree in electronics
  • 2+ years’ of experience as a frequency filter tuner
  • Previous knowledge or experience in the electronics field
  • Demonstrated computers skills to include MS Word and Excel
  • Experience in testing equipment (i.e. frequency generator, spectrum analyzer, LNAs and oscilloscope)
  • Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings and documents
  • Able to work independently in a self-directed environment, as well as work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Should have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to pass background screening; Green Card holders or US Citizens only
