Job Summary

We are seeking a Research Technician Assistant for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, Nevada

As a Research Technician Assistant, you will have the opportunity to care for different species of animals at our state-of-the-art safety sites.  You will learn new skills ranging from animal care and handling of laboratory animals, perform clinical observations, blood collection, drug dosing, and perform accurate data collection and reporting.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Research Technician Assistant  position.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
  • 0-6 months related experience in animal research and/or husbandry preferred.
  • Ability to handle common laboratory animal species.
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice regulations preferred.
Job Qualifications

The training and development offered to our entry level technicians is state of the art and designed to help you succeed.  The work you will be doing will impact the lives of patients and animals across the world and is the kind of work that is truly rewarding.

Training schedule: 6 months, Monday- Friday from 7:00am PT until 4:00pm PT. After you complete training, you will be assigned to work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday. This is a full-time opportunity.

The pay for this position is $22.00 USD per hour. Trainig schedule is M-F, 7 am - 4 pm daily (6 mos). After training, permanent schedule is either Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs, 7-4 daily.
