Responsibilities
There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes to keep H-E-B stores stocked and ready to serve customers, and our Supply Chain Team innovates and executes to optimize source-to-shelf operations while providing current, reliable supply chain data, analysis, and inventory management across the full product lifecycle. Partners in Forecast & Replenishment must balance having enough retail products available in H-E-B facilities and stores to support customer demand while not overloading our warehouses, truck drivers, and Partners with product that's not needed. To do this, we work closely with the category managers in H-E-B's Grocery and Drugstore/Beauty/Baby Procurement teams as they plan promotions and new product launches while phasing out other items from H-E-B store shelves. We use advanced forecasting and business intelligence systems to plan for both promoted and unpromoted sales demand, and we work with fulfillment software to optimize and create the most efficient orders from our suppliers based on the forecasted demand. When things don't go exactly as planned, our Partners dive in to help facilitate better results. Partners in Forecast & Replenishment work closely with external suppliers, freight providers, and several H-E-B teams including Procurement, Shelf Edge, Warehousing, Transportation, Global Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain Strategy, and Information Solutions. in-stock conditions for the products that we sell to customers while keeping total end-to-end cost as low as possible.
As an Inventory Coordinator for Forecast & Replenishment, you'll coordinate and support end-to-end inventory management duties for retail merchandise. This will include creating, releasing, and tracking purchase orders and manufacturer returns, reporting results, communicating with all stakeholders, and following up on unresolved issues. You'll perform entry-level Inventory Analyst replenishment duties during periods of short-staffing or high-volume operations, and you'll support special projects and initiatives as needed.

What is the work?
Inventory Management / Administration:
- Creates Purchase Orders (PO) and transmits to Suppliers; updates PO tracking to monitor status of delivery to the warehouse
- Troubleshoots PO status-related issues; informs Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Inventory Analysts accordingly
- Replenishes retail categories as needed
- Communicates daily with Inventory Analysts on inventory availability and other operational status updates on products,
supplier performance, and internal process opportunities
- Coordinates appointments for freight deliveries
- Verifies product IDs (UPCs, pack size, description) and quantities against purchase orders
- Performs item and supplier maintenance to ensure products are accurately stored and shipped
- Collaborates with Accounting, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams as needed to support inventory management-related
investigations
- Develops / maintains positive, effective relationships with suppliers, Partners, and customers to facilitate timely and accurate
inventory delivery
