Consultant - Fundraising & Project Management (Entry-Level, Remote with Austin Preference)

Location:
Austin, TX area
One week of paid onboarding and training in Lawrence, KS (travel covered)

About Us:
We help our clients engage alumni and supporters during, between, and after major fundraising campaigns. Through research, creative communication, and strategic planning, our team helps nonprofits and educational institutions build stronger donor relationships and achieve record-breaking results.

We are a collaborative, mission-driven group that values curiosity, initiative, and a can-do attitude. Every project is different, which means every day brings new challenges, new people, and new opportunities to grow your skills.

About the Role:
As a Consultant, you'll play a key role in helping our clients plan and manage successful fundraising campaigns. This is an entry-level position designed for someone who is:

  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented,

  • Energized by building relationships and talking to people, and

  • Excited to learn the art and science of fundraising and campaign strategy.

You'll wear several hats - project coordinator, interviewer, writer, researcher, and relationship-builder - all while working as part of a team that supports nonprofits nationwide.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep details organized from start to finish

  • Conduct interviews and outreach with donors, volunteers, and community leaders

  • Write reports, summaries, and recommendations that inform campaign strategy

  • Support clients and internal teams by scheduling meetings, maintaining data, and tracking progress

  • Partner with volunteers to plan and execute campaign events and solicitations

  • Communicate regularly with clients and team members to ensure deadlines are met

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)

  • 1-3 years of experience in a professional or campus-based role (student affairs, sales/BDR, customer service, event planning, or nonprofit work all count!)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication-both written and verbal

  • Comfort talking to new people via phone, video, and email

  • Interest in fundraising, consulting, and higher education or nonprofit work

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools (like Salesforce) is a plus

Why You'll Love It Here:

  • Supportive, collaborative team culture

  • Ongoing professional development and fundraising training

  • Opportunities to work with clients nationwide

  • Paid travel for onboarding and team gatherings

  • Clear path for career advancement in consulting or fundraising strategy

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive entry-level salary

  • Paid training and onboarding

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Paid time off and holidays

  • Remote-first work culture with flexibility

Who Thrives Here:
People who are naturally curious, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love juggling multiple projects. If you've ever managed student organizations, led orientation programs, worked in customer success or sales, or coordinated campus events - you'll fit right in.
