• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate patients’ mental health needs. Develop tailored treatment plans that reflect the individual goals and challenges of each patient.
• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention support for patients experiencing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges.
• Facilitate virtual therapy groups and workshops that promote mental well-being and personal development, focusing on topics that resonate with our community, such as stress relief, coping mechanisms, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, patient support services, and community organizations to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. This may involve participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives, including mental health awareness campaigns and wellness workshops, to promote preventative mental health strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with health care regulations.

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse patient population, addressing various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. • Licensure is required: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the mental health challenges faced by community members, especially those engaging with remote therapy services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse patient base and collaborate with various professionals.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices suitable for different age groups and backgrounds.
• Ability to effectively manage a full caseload in a fast-paced and evolving remote work environment.

• Prior experience in a community health or hospital counseling setting is beneficial.
• Experience with telehealth platforms or remote therapy modalities is preferred, reflecting the modern needs of our patient community.
• Knowledge of cultural competency in mental health care is a plus, given the diverse backgrounds of our patients.
