Role Overview

We are seeking a Palantir Foundry expert to build the extraction layer of a GenAI accelerator. This role focuses on extracting metadata, code, and documentation from Foundry using its APIs, while identifying edge cases and undocumented behaviors that inform migration and pattern design.

Must Have Skills:
  • Palantir Foundry (Expert): Ontology, Transforms, Pipeline Builder, Actions
  • Palantir APIs (Expert): v2 APIs, Ontology SDK
  • Python (Expert): API clients, extraction tooling, async processing
  • REST APIs (Strong): Auth, pagination, rate limiting
  • Java (Moderate): Read and understand Java-based Transforms
  • Data Modeling & ETL (Strong): Ontology semantics, transformation patterns
  • SQL (Strong): Interpret and validate Transform SQL
  • Git / Version Control (Strong)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build a Palantir extraction toolkit using v2 APIs and Ontology SDK.
  • Extract Ontology metadata, Transform code (Python/Java), and Pipeline Builder definitions.
  • Scrape and structure Foundry documentation for RAG ingestion.
  • Generate standardized build sheets for migrations.
  • Identify and document Foundry edge cases and quirks.
  • Validate extraction completeness and accuracy.
  • Support AI/ML teams with Palantir subject‑matter expertise.
Key Deliverables:
  • Palantir extraction toolkit and metadata exporters.
  • Transform and Pipeline Builder parsers.
  • Documentation scraper for RAG pipelines.
  • Build‑sheet generator and lineage mappings.
  • Edge‑case and pattern documentation.
Ideal Candidate:
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Palantir Foundry experience.
  • Background in Foundry development or platform administration.
  • Strong API development skills.
  • Former Palantir employees or consultants preferred.
