Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial customers. You will be expected to ensure the optimal performance of HVAC systems by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and providing high-quality service..

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, including diagnosing malfunctions and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment, ensuring systems are running optimally.
  • Respond to service calls, providing timely and professional service to customers.
  • Demonstrates a positive, customer focused attitude for others to follow.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by wearing appropriate Climate Systems, LLC uniforms and holding team members accountable to do the same.
  • Support leadership in setting goals for the team.
  • Contribute to accident and illness prevention by ensuring that safe work practices are implemented, and that the work environment is safe.
  • Maintain and have good understanding of proper PPE use daily.
  • Work with Service Coordinators to meet customersโ€™ needs and drive cohesiveness within the team.
  • Complete daily calls and electronic paperwork for service calls for billing process
  • Assist with parts being ordered to ensure timely return to the client.
  • Assist the Service Coordinator in Team mentorship on Service Call completion importance.
  • Service on call is required.
  • Help sell work and develop customer relationships.
  • Support Sales by assisting with job site surveys and providing input for estimates.
  • Identify and bring awareness to jobsite safety procedures or issues while working with our Sales Team.
  • Utilize Vendor & OEM Apps to find equipment information for troubleshooting, identify part numbers, availability and cost associated. Role these Apps out to your Team and train them to utilize them to maximize efficiency.
  • Identifies equipment or industry specific software, interface devices and assets needed to stay current giving Climate Systems the ability to service our customers needs seamlessly.
  • Utilizes equipment specific software tools as needed and has good operational experience to teach others on use of them.
  • Keeps a current library on common HVAC products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair to assist team members.
  • Other such duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years proven experience as an HVAC technician, including hands-on experience with commercial systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record.
  • EPA certification (or ability to obtain) required.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
