They use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva to bring creative ideas to life based on given briefs or instructions. Remote graphic designers communicate with team members and clients through email, chat, or video calls, and are expected to manage their time and tasks independently. Entry level remote graphic designers often face challenges such as communication barriers, staying motivated, and managing feedback without in-person interaction. To overcome these, it's important to proactively communicate with team members using collaboration tools, set a structured daily routine, and seek feedback through regular virtual check-ins. Building a habit of documenting your design process and asking clarifying questions can also help ensure your work aligns with client or team expectations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level remote graphic designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Remote Graphic Designer, you need a solid understanding of design principles, proficiency in visual communication, and typically a portfolio or relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with industry-standard tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and basic project management or collaboration platforms is expected. Strong time management, creativity, and effective remote communication skills help set candidates apart. These skills ensure high-quality, on-brand design work is delivered efficiently while collaborating seamlessly with remote teams and clients.

Aquent is thrilled to partner with a dynamic agency client, a leader in branding, advertising, and digital solutions, to find a talented designer ready to make a significant impact. This is your chance to transform creative concepts into stunning, on-brand deliverables that directly influence the visual identity and campaign success of various brands. Your work will ensure every piece of communication is polished, effective, and aligned with strategic goals, playing a pivotal role in shaping compelling narratives and engaging audiences.
About Our Client Partner
Our client partner is a forward-thinking agency renowned for its innovative approach to branding, advertising, and digital solutions. They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative environment where creativity flourishes and strategic thinking drives impactful results. Joining their team means contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects, working alongside industry experts, and pushing the boundaries of visual communication to deliver exceptional experiences for their clients.
The Opportunity: Make Your Mark as a Creative Execution Powerhouse
We are seeking a production-oriented designer who thrives on bringing creative visions to life with unparalleled precision and speed. In this role, you will be the trusted expert, taking initial concepts and directions from the creative team and applying your keen design judgment to produce strong, final products. This is a pivotal opportunity to ensure every design not only meets but exceeds expectations for quality and brand consistency, directly contributing to the success of high-profile campaigns and brand initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Develop a wide range of digital and social media assets.
  • Create compelling paid media and campaign assets.
  • Design print collateral including brochures, postcards, one-sheets, and signage.
  • Produce event and environmental graphics.
  • Develop brand guidelines and templates.
  • Adapt and resize existing creative across multiple channels and formats.
  • Prepare final files for both print and digital production.
  • Potentially assist with light motion/video or presentation animation.
  • Design client presentations and pitch decks.
  • Manage high-volume production and adaptation, including resizing campaigns and updating copy/images.
  • Build multiple versions of assets and formatting decks.
  • Prepare print-ready files and implement last-minute client changes without compromising quality.

What You Bring
We are looking for a mid-level professional with 5-8+ years of experience who possesses a robust skill set and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and color.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of design and production.
  • Proven ability to follow and maintain strict brand standards.
  • Extensive production and file-preparation knowledge for both print and digital media.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable taking creative direction and incorporating feedback effectively.
  • Capable of working independently while collaborating closely with art directors, copywriters, and account teams.
  • Highly organized and reliable in project execution.
  • A professional portfolio demonstrating real-world marketing and brand work, showcasing practical application over conceptual design.

Technical Prowess
Must-Have Tools:
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • PowerPoint / Google Slides

Nice-to-Have Tools:
  • Figma
  • After Effects / basic motion
  • Premiere Pro or other basic video editing software
