Job Title: Executive Assistant – Temporary Contract

Industry: Media / Entertainment

Location: Washington, DC

Assignment Type: Temporary Contract – approximately 5 months

Pay: $28 – $30 / Hour (depending on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Hybrid schedule with Tuesday and Wednesday onsite and Monday, Thursday, and Friday remote. Occasional onsite attendance may be required based on business needs.

Addison Group is hiring an experienced Executive Assistant for our client, a well-established organization in the media and entertainment industry. This temporary position will provide high-level administrative support to a C-suite executive while also providing limited administrative assistance to several other senior leaders.

Job Description:

The Executive Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to a senior executive, helping manage daily priorities and ensuring calendars, travel, meetings, expenses, and communications are handled efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, polished, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex executive calendar, including scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts, and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Coordinate domestic and occasional international business travel, including itineraries and reservations.
  • Prepare, track, and submit executive expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, including room arrangements, materials, catering, printing, and other logistics.
  • Draft and edit emails, correspondence, presentations, memos, and other executive documents.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external contacts on behalf of senior leadership.
  • Maintain organized files, records, invoices, budgets, and other departmental information.
  • Order office supplies and assist with general administrative needs.
  • Provide occasional backup support to other executive assistants and senior leaders.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative assignments as needed.
  • Anticipate executive needs, identify potential issues, and proactively recommend solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of Executive Assistant or comparable administrative experience.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience directly supporting C-suite or senior-level executives is required.
  • Strong experience managing complex calendars and coordinating executive schedules.
  • Previous experience arranging business travel and managing travel logistics.
  • Experience with expense reporting; Concur experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and basic Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with executives who have high standards and communicate directly.
  • Strong judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

Additional Details:

  • Start Date: September 14, 2026
  • End Date/Length: February 8, 2027
  • Hours: 40 hours per week once fully transitioned
  • Training: Approximately 20 hours per week during the first week or two to allow for training and transition with the current Executive Assistant.
  • Overtime: May be available with manager approval.
  • Interview Process: Multiple interview stages, including virtual and onsite interviews.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Tuesday and Wednesday onsite; Monday, Thursday, and Friday remote. Occasional onsite attendance may be requested based on business needs.
