Job Title: JFrog Admin Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 Work Model: Remote – offsite Hours: 40.0 Security Clearance: (not specified)

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage JFrog platform including repositories, tenant-level settings, and security configurations to ensure usability, security, and SDLC alignment.
  • Manage repositories by designing patterns for internal packages, upstream proxies, and aggregation endpoints for various package types such as Maven, NuGet, npm, and Docker.
  • Define and manage user access, permissions, and access tokens, ensuring fine-grained control over resources and secure automation processes.
  • Help establish and enforce security and compliance policies with Xray, including source and binary scanning, policies, and alerts, in collaboration with security teams.
  • Integrate Artifactory and Xray into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions to enable traceability from source commit to deployed artifact.
  • Monitor storage, repository usage, and implement cleanup and retention policies to optimize system performance and storage utilization.
  • Participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining build/release infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using on-premises and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, and EKS.
  • Automate build processes, testing, security scans, and deployments, applying DevOps/DevSecOps best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues collaboratively across cross-functional teams and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Advise on architecture improvements and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience as an administrator with the JFrog suite including Artifactory and Xray.
  • Experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer with enterprise-scale CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with release management and build/deployment tools like Maven, NPM, Jenkins, JBoss, IIS.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Mesos.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, and Groovy; familiarity with Batch, C#, and Java is a plus.
  • Experience with API integration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of source control systems like Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, TFVC, GitLab, Bitbucket.
  • Experience with database systems and scripting (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Working knowledge of Windows IIS and Red Hat Linux JBoss environments.
  • Effective communication skills, detail-oriented, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Motivated, creative, able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferred: experience with multiple roles (Developer, Tester, Architect, Security), configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible), monitoring tools (Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace, Prometheus), universal binary repository managers, and automated unit testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit).
