Position Overview

Inner Hope and Balance Mental Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team in Lowell, Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans tailored to individual needs, integrating mental health and wellness strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, ensuring timely and effective responses to high-risk situations.
  • Complete documentation and reports with accuracy and promptness, adhering to established regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Employ evidence-based screening tools to evaluate client progress and refine treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support strategies, enhancing client outcomes and experiences.
  • Engage in licensure and accreditation activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards to maintain service quality.
  • Act as a liaison with local service systems and state agencies, building effective partnerships that support client needs and organizational goals.
  • Foster communication across all tiers of the organization to uphold MHA’s mission and improve community engagement.
  • Network with community partners, state and federal agencies to explore potential funding opportunities and collaborative projects.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Actively promote the organizational values in all interactions with clients and partners, contributing positively to our community presence.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to the overall success of our team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role directly impacts a diverse range of clients, including those with emotional health concerns, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and those recovering from brain injuries. Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid independent LMHC license is required to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
