Entry Level Real Estate Staging information

What does an entry level real estate staging professional do?

An Entry Level Real Estate Staging professional assists in preparing homes for sale by arranging furniture, decor, and accessories to make properties more appealing to potential buyers. Their duties often include decluttering spaces, selecting appropriate furnishings, and ensuring each room highlights its best features. They typically work under the supervision of experienced stagers, learning how to create inviting atmospheres that help homes sell faster and at better prices. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level real estate staging professional?

To thrive as an Entry Level Real Estate Staging professional, you need a basic understanding of interior design principles, a keen eye for detail, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with digital design tools, inventory management systems, and sometimes home staging certifications can be beneficial. Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills help you collaborate with clients and efficiently transform spaces. These abilities are crucial for creating attractive, market-ready properties that appeal to buyers and support successful real estate transactions.

What is the difference between Entry Level Real Estate Staging vs Entry Level Interior Design?

AspectEntry Level Real Estate StagingEntry Level Interior Design
CredentialsBasic knowledge of home decor, staging principlesOften requires interior design courses or certification
Work EnvironmentPrimarily on-site at properties, quick turnaround projectsVaries from residential to commercial, longer project timelines
Industry UsageCommonly used in real estate to sell homes fasterUsed to create functional, aesthetic spaces for clients

Entry Level Real Estate Staging focuses on preparing homes for sale by enhancing their appeal, often requiring minimal formal credentials. Entry Level Interior Design involves designing interior spaces with more emphasis on aesthetics and functionality, often needing interior design education. While both roles work in the home improvement industry, staging is more sales-driven and project-specific, whereas interior design offers broader creative opportunities.

The Guest Group is growing and looking for motivated, relationship-driven real estate agents who want to build a successful, sustainable career. Whether you're newer to the industry or already have experience, you'll have access to proven systems, hands-on coaching, technology and leverage-so you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
As part of The Guest Group, powered by PLACE, you'll have the opportunity to build your own business while benefiting from the infrastructure and support of an established, high-performing team.
What you'll have access to:
  • Proven lead-generation and prospecting systems
  • Team-generated lead opportunities
  • Weekly coaching, training and accountability
  • Scripts, systems and strategies for converting leads into clients
  • Administrative and operational leverage designed to remove 75%+ of daily agent tasks

  • Professional marketing, design and listing support
  • Buyer and seller consultation tools
  • Showing and additional leverage opportunities as your business grows
  • Opportunity for company-subsidized health insurance at qualifying production levels
  • Revenue share and stock/equity opportunities at qualifying levels
  • Financial planning and wealth-building resources
  • A defined career path with opportunities to grow beyond simply selling more homes
  • A collaborative team environment where you'll have people to turn to for support, problem-solving and guidance
Learn From a Team With a Proven Track Record
The Guest Group was ranked #12 among small real estate teams in Oregon, and team leader Andrea Guest ranked #20 in the Portland Metro for 2025 production, bringing 15 years of real estate experience and leadership to the team.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
  • Motivated and willing to do the activities required to build a successful business
  • Coachable and eager to learn
  • Comfortable building relationships and talking with people
  • Willing to prospect, follow up and create opportunities
  • Professional, dependable and client-focused
  • Growth-minded and accountable
  • Excited to be part of a collaborative, high-performing environment

Real estate experience is welcome, but drive, work ethic and willingness to learn matter even more.
If you're looking for more than a place to hang your license-and want coaching, systems, leverage and a clear path to build a real estate career-we'd love to meet you.
Build your business. Grow your career. Don't do it alone.
Responsibilities
  • Complete the PLACE Launch program
  • Use PLACE lead generation tools consistently each week
  • Work closely with buyers to sign agreements and find the right homes
  • Negotiate offers for both buyers and sellers with confidence
  • Keep track of your tasks and activities using PLACE Technology
  • Host two open houses every month
  • Turn your prospecting and lead generation efforts into appointments
  • Join in weekly script practice sessions with the team
  • Get involved in team activities and support your colleagues
  • Commit to weekly one-on-one coaching, training sessions, and Partner Calls
  • Guide sellers through the listing process and help market their homes
  • Share your knowledge on pricing, staging, and other listing essentials
Qualifications
You are an intrinsically motivated sales professional with a competitive spirit. You are excellent at building rapport, listening to the needs of others and identifying solutions. Prospecting and lead generation are your strength zones. Overcoming objections comes naturally. You are a strong communicator and committed to service.
  • Team player
  • Licensed real estate professional
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Learning based, growth-minded
  • Organized
  • Willingness to learn scripts and dialogues
