As of Jun 20, 2026, the average hourly pay for entry level rbt in Massachusetts is $25.76, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $20.72 and $28.61 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Entry Level Rbt position, and why are they important?

To excel as an Entry Level RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), you generally need a high school diploma, a strong interest in behavioral health, completion of the 40-hour RBT training, and passing the RBT certification exam. Familiarity with data collection tools, behavior intervention systems, and basic software programs is often required for the role. Key soft skills include patience, strong communication, attention to detail, and adaptability. These skills are vital to effectively support clients with behavioral challenges and to collaborate well with supervising clinicians and team members.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Entry Level Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) positions typically do not pay $2000 a day; such high daily rates are uncommon for entry-level roles. High-paying jobs that can reach this level often require advanced certifications, extensive experience, or specialized skills, such as consulting, executive roles, or certain freelance professions.

What is an Entry Level RBT job?

An Entry Level Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) assists in implementing behavior therapy plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). They work primarily with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to improve their skills and behaviors. Responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, collecting data, and following treatment plans. No prior experience is required, but certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is necessary.

What does a typical day look like for an Entry Level RBT?

A typical day for an Entry Level RBT involves working one-on-one with clients, often children with autism spectrum disorder, to implement behavior intervention plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Tasks may include running therapy sessions, collecting data on client progress, and collaborating with families and other team members to reinforce positive behaviors. RBTs usually work in clinical settings, schools, or clients' homes, and supervision from a BCBA is common. While every day can present new challenges and learning opportunities, the work is rewarding for those who enjoy making a direct impact on individuals’ lives and development.

Can I be an RBT with no experience?

Entry Level RBT positions typically require completion of a 40-hour training program and passing the RBT certification exam. While prior experience is not always necessary, candidates must demonstrate understanding of behavior analysis principles and often need to obtain supervision from a qualified RBT or BCBA. Some employers may hire individuals with no experience if they show strong motivation and commitment to training.

What jobs pay 10000 a month without a degree?

Entry-level Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) typically do not earn $10,000 a month; their salaries usually range from $15,000 to $40,000 annually. High-paying jobs that can reach $10,000 monthly without a degree often include sales, real estate, or skilled trades like plumbing or electrical work, which rely on experience and certifications rather than formal education.

What jobs can I get with experience as an RBT?

With experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), individuals can qualify for roles such as behavior technician, behavioral therapist, or autism support specialist. These positions often involve working directly with clients, implementing behavior plans, and may require certification and familiarity with data collection tools. Advancement opportunities include becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with additional education and experience.
