Key Responsibilities
  • Provides safe, high-quality, patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions across a variety of care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic/urgent care environments
  • Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
  • Utilizes specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures within established scope of practice guidelines
  • Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting
  • Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm completion, documentation, and technical quality consistent with department protocols and accreditation standards
  • Performs operator-level quality control checks, equipment cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology
  • Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification; certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and radiologic/cardiovascular technology terminology
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, multi-task, and remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and exercise discretion in handling confidential information
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field
  • Experience applying primary specialty theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, and annotate study data
