Job description

Kelvin Thermal is the world leader in advanced vapor chambers for cooling. We are a small company founded from a University of Colorado research lab and we develop ultrathin, flexible, and high heat flux designs. We are looking for an entry-level mechanical engineer to support continued advancement of our Thermal Ground Plane products. The Longmont location handles front-end R&D and then works with contract manufacturers and our partner teams for mass production. The job requires a split between office and lab work.

Key Responsibilities

·         Prototyping efforts on new products including thermal/fluid design, tooling design, fabrication, and testing.

·         Support customer-funded development programs, meeting technical milestones and project deliverables.

Required Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field

·         Good mechanical design experience using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

·         Good intuitive understanding of heat transfer

·         Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

·         Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes.

·         Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, and GD&T
