- Quality Control & Compliance
- Monitor daily production for adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process and final product inspections, including board grades, dimensions, printing, gluing, and structural integrity.
- Maintain compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements (ISO, GMP, BRC, etc., if applicable).
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate QA documentation, including inspection records, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to plant leadership.
- Training & Continuous Improvement
- Train production personnel on quality standards, SOPs, and proper use of measurement tools.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and design teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in or lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Customer Focus
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints and returns.
- Coordinate product testing and sampling as required by customers or R&D.
- Audits & Compliance
- Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; box plant or packaging industry experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of QA tools (e.g., control charts, SPC, root cause analysis).
- Familiarity with ISO standards, BRC, GMP, or other relevant quality systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn QA software or ERP systems.
