Job description

We are looking for someone who is passionate about market research and motivated by a fast-paced and challenging work environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is interested in starting a career in market research. The Research Analyst, Marketing Science is a resource for internal and external clients in the design and analysis of data based on statistical procedures.  As a Research Analyst, you will provide expertise in the appropriate use of value-added analytical models, including approaches proprietary to Ipsos.  The Research Analyst will work closely with our Marketing Science colleagues in different Ipsos offices.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Clean, structure, code, and summarize survey and secondary data

  • Use statistical software (SPSS, R, etc.) and business software (Excel) to uncover and evaluate solutions, and assist project staff in running statistical analyses

  • Apply programming skills (Excel VBA, Python, etc.) to help automate standard statistical procedures and chart creation.

  • Demonstrate your understanding of multivariate analysis and Ipsos proprietary products, and work with Client Service from understanding business questions to design, analysis, and application

  • Work from an analytic plan, assemble Excel outputs or PowerPoint decks to provide results and explanations for Client Service

  • Consistently ensure the timely delivery of error free work

This might be the job for you if you have:

  • BS degree or MS degree in Quantitative Marketing or Social Sciences, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Marketing Research, or a related field of study with an analytic/quantitative/research focus

  • Statistical analysis background is desirable

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of SPSS or other statistical analysis packages

    • Python, R, VBA coding experience a bonus

  • Understanding of text analytics and AI in marketing research a plus

  • Effective communication skills and ability to present data findings in an easy-to-understand manner to internal and external clients less familiar with statistical techniques

  • Inquisitive personality with a strong desire to learn

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Good attention to details and logical decision-making process

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $59,000 to $63,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or certifications.
