Entry-Level Maintenance Technician Apprentice (Food Manufacturing | Paid Training)Launch Your Career in Industrial Maintenance

Start your career with a hands-on maintenance apprenticeship in a clean, modern food manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build real-world skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance while learning directly from experienced technicians.

As an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will support production operations by assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment used to manufacture confectionery products.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to maintenance and repair requests for production and facility equipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to restore equipment to safe, reliable operation
  • Work from blueprints, schematics, and instructions to complete maintenance tasks
  • Support maintenance on equipment such as:
    • Bagging machines
    • Conveyors
    • Case erectors
    • Kitchen and utility equipment
  • Assist with rebuilding smaller components (gearboxes, motors, pneumatic equipment)
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (lubrication, inspections, filter changes)
  • Help install, modify, and upgrade equipment and systems
  • Safely operate hand and power tools
  • Document maintenance work and communicate equipment issues clearly
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability efforts

Qualifications (Entry-Level Friendly)
  • Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude
  • Interest in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or skilled trades
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a production environment
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting and repair techniques
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment
  • Comfortable climbing stairs, ladders, and working at heights as needed

No prior experience required. Training is provided for motivated candidates.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance
  • Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
  • Familiarity with:
    • Motors, gearboxes, and industrial equipment

    • PLC fundamentals or troubleshooting
  • Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, or robotics (helpful, not required)

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, GMP-compliant food manufacturing facility producing confectionery products such as marshmallows.

Employees work with a variety of industrial equipment, including bagging machines, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and utility systems. The environment is well-maintained and organized, though it can be warm and moderately loud during production.

You will be part of a close-knit team in a facility that emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork.

Shift: 1st Shift (4:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 3 day weekend every other week)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
