Clearance Required: US Citizen, Public Trust
Work Location: Hybrid.

Alpha Omega is currently seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce QA Tester with hands-on experience using Katalon Studio to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and execute automated and manual test scripts to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our Salesforce applications. You'll work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to validate functionality, identify defects early, and help maintain a robust, scalable test automation framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce applications using Katalon Studio.
  • Perform Salesforce application testing using Copado.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases across Salesforce Lightning Experience environments, validating functionality, data integrity, and business logic
  • Build and maintain reusable test components (classes, functions, and libraries) to reduce duplication and improve test maintainability
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with developers to troubleshoot root causes
  • Break down complex test scripts into smaller, targeted test cases to streamline defect isolation and improve test reliability
  • Support regression testing for Salesforce releases, patches, and configuration changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and user stories into comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices
  • Maintain clear, thorough documentation of test scripts, test data, and testing procedures to support long-term team knowledge sharing
  • Proactively identify flaky or unreliable tests and implement solutions (e.g., dynamic wait strategies) to improve test suite stability and reduce execution time
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to align testing efforts with development timelines

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Salesforce testing
  • Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio for building and executing automated test scripts
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce Lightning Experience, including standard and custom objects, workflows, and configuration
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with test case design, defect tracking, and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar)
  • Understanding of software testing best practices, including regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to isolate root causes of test failures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder) a plus
  • Experience with Selenium, Groovy, or other scripting languages used within Katalon
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests into build pipelines
  • Experience with API testing and Salesforce data migration/validation
  • Background working in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Experience writing technical documentation for test frameworks to support onboarding of future team members

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $73,000 - $85,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
