Job description

The work:

As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of software applications through both automated and manual testing methods. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently. You will leverage your expertise in .Net, Python, bash, PowerShell and/or JavaScript/TypeScript to create robust automation scripts, while also applying your knowledge of front-end frameworks to validate user interfaces and workflows. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you verify that all software components meet stringent quality standards before deployment. In this role, you will benefit from hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and processes, such as automated testing frameworks, bug tracking systems, and continuous integration pipelines. Exposure to front-end technologies and scripting languages will enhance your ability to identify and troubleshoot issues across different layers of the application.

What you'll do: 

  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web applications
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using established processes
  • Test front-end frameworks for functionality, usability, and compatibility
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to developers
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and status meetings
  • Maintain and update test documentation as needed

What you'll need: 

  • 2 years of experience in quality assurance/testing (manual & automated) 
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as: JIRA or Confluence
  • Experience with Selenium and Cypress 
  • Experience running queries to validate data
  • Experience with Gitlab/Git for source control of code 
  • Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous consulting experience and understanding customer/business needs
  • Experience working within AWS cloud infrastructure 
  • Experience in .Net
  • Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Previous experience with automated testing tools & frameworks
  • Prior experience in a secure environment
