Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager will serve as a key leader in maintaining and advancing the organization's quality management systems and regulatory compliance programs. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who can balance strategic quality system improvements with day-to-day operational oversight.
Essential Duties:
  • Partner with Research & Development, Supply Chain, Operations, and other departments to establish and refine processes that ensure ongoing compliance with current and evolving food safety regulations.
  • Lead the enhancement and optimization of quality management systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Develop and facilitate comprehensive training programs for production associates and cross-functional team members on quality protocols, food safety requirements, and GMP standards.
  • Evaluate and verify quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment including production records, specifications, and testing reports.
  • Coordinate and participate in internal compliance assessments and serve in a leadership capacity during third-party certification audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Direct root cause investigations for quality deviations, non-conformances, and process failures using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Manage the corrective and preventive action system, ensuring timely implementation, verification, and effectiveness validation of all CAPA initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance of product labeling in accordance with FDA requirements and company standards.

Must Have:
  • Bilingual: Spanish & English required - You'll be training and communicating daily with a diverse production team, so conversational fluency in both languages is essential for success in this role.
  • 2+ years QA/Food Safety management or supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing HACCP plans from concept through validation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field; candidates with strong technical backgrounds in other scientific areas will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP, and audit management.
  • Proven capability managing audit processes, corrective actions, preventive measures, data analysis, and validation activities.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or ingredient production environments required.
