Join KEYENCE as an Entry-Level Field Service Technician 

Location: KEYENCE Engineering Services Facility - Itasca, IL

Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): $68,281

As an Entry-Level Field Service Technician, you'll be part of our Engineering Services team, working hands-on with the world's most innovative Factory Automation products. You'll travel to manufacturing facilities, assemble and install equipment, optimize configurations, and provide technical support to our customers.

  • Assemble, install, connect, code, and diagnose KEYENCE products on advanced production lines
  • Travel regularly to customer sites to assist with equipment integration and verify proper operation
  • Optimize product configuration, including mechanical and digital adjustments
  • Provide guidance on product integration, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and compile post-visit summary reports
  • Prepare KEYENCE equipment for customer use
  • Travel 50-60% of the time, including overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

  • 2-year degree or trade school equivalent (manufacturing, engineering, electronics, or maintenance technology preferred)
  • Ability to lift 30-70 lbs. of equipment, including overhead
  • Ability to climb a step ladder and use hand tools/electronic devices
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) and custom software for product interface
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in English (secondary language a plus)
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Analytical skills for troubleshooting and product adjustments
  • Integrity and dependability in handling confidential information and meeting deadlines
