Barrel Manufacturing Technician - Swing

Reports to: Director of Machining Operations

Position Summary

The position of Barrel Manufacturing Technician is an entry level position whose responsibilities include operating, milling, and drilling machines, grinders, and lathes in our machine shop. Barrel Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for the loading/unloading, maintaining part quality by recording measured dimensions, and continuous operation of various CNC equipment. It requires attention to detail and a need to be precise and diligent in understanding and following work instructions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate various CNC mills and lathes
  • Maintain part quality
  • Keep work area & machines clean and organized
  • Change out damaged/worn tools as necessary to maintain part quality
  • Clocks in and out of Work Orders accurately recording production numbers
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
