What you'll do
Join Planisware for this exciting opportunity! As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for quality assurance activities in the context of software implementations by our consulting teams, driving higher customer satisfaction as the ultimate objective through quality by design. Working as part of a team of Planisware functional and technical consultants, you will set the bar high when it comes to quality assurance and testing activities, and will proactively help drive improvements within the teams to achieve this. This role is based out of our Denver, CO office.
Your Responsibilities
  • Work alongside and as part of consulting teams to deliver high quality implementations to Planisware customers
  • Analyze user stories and functional requirements for completeness, and pro-actively ask questions to confirm assumptions or have unclear features explained
  • Derive test cases for Planisware projects that will verify expected outcomes and help identify gaps or unanticipated behaviors
  • Design and execute test scripts to test Planisware implementation of user stories, documenting validation of test scenarios, defects, and resolution
  • Analyze test results, review test scripts and documentation for other team members as needed
  • Pro-actively track progress against plan for testing activities
  • Follow Planisware quality processes to ensure all standards are adhered to and documentation provided in a timely manner
  • Use Planisware and customer tools, such as Jira, Azure to manage and track requirements, test cases, results and defects. Proactively track metrics in these tools to ensure tasks are on schedule
  • Liaise with the consulting and managed service teams to ensure clarifications/requests for information are proactively communicated and responded to effectively, and risks and issues are tracked, monitored and communicated to stakeholders
  • Define the scope of regressions suites, with guidance and support from the consulting teams, and be responsible for maintaining these each sprint
  • Effectively present information in both written and verbal form to management, customers, or other team members
  • Help with quality audits, improvement initiatives and other quality activities as needed

What is expected from you
Your Qualifications
  • Ideally 1-3 years of experience, at least as an intern in a software development environment, preferably with a QA focus
  • Requires basic knowledge of principles, theories and concepts of QA and the software development lifecycle, and software methodologies
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Good organizational skills, being able to work effectively on concurrent projects are required
  • Ability to be a point person for QA discussions and queries within the teams
  • Able to understand and translate functional use cases and/or technical specifications into test cases
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Quick learner, efficient multi-tasker, and team player

Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in SaaS environments
    • Experience in Agile methodologies
    • Possession of quality assurance certification(s)
    • Knowledge of portfolio and/or project management and experience with such software platforms
