Job description

 

As an IT Quality Assurance Analyst at UWM, you will get to work with a growing team of QA experts skilled in manual test planning and execution. You will play a pivotal role in helping ensure the quality of deployed software at UWM. We work in a fast-paced, agile environment where code is deployed frequently, as we move toward the ability to deploy on demand. We're looking for a candidate with a passion for delivery to join our team of over 1,300 technology professionals at the most innovative and disruptive company in the fintech space.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Required: 

  • 6+ years of experience in software testing
  • Proficiency testing web services (such as SoapUI, REST or equivalent tools)
  • Experience in supporting the integration of automation into CI/CD tooling
  • Understanding of Object-oriented programming
  • Experience in creating scripted tests for API testing
  • Knowledge in QA automation tools
  • Knowledge of automation capabilities with Playwright
  • Hands on database testing or SQL experience
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a clear, simple and understandable way
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, test cases and defects
  • Experience defining test strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Develop modular, reusable and maintainable tests to be integrated into existing automation framework by quality engineers
  • Ability to mentor less experienced quality analysts
  • Available for on-call testing requests
  • 100% On-site attendance in Pontiac, MI

Preferred:

  • Mortgage or financial services knowledge or experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with Playwright

  • Advocate for quality as a subject matter expert in UWM's applications, testing tools, and testing/defect management
  • Design, build, and manage test plans and strategies
  • Support the testing of multiple ongoing projects concurrently
  • Perform manual testing and support automated test creation
  • Follow industry standard defect management processes
  • Suggest and implement new testing processes that will help streamline development
  • Conduct test case reviews with peers
