Role : QA Tester – Desktop Applications

Location: Overland Park, Kansas (Onsite)

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented QA Tester with 2 to 6 years of experience having solid hands-on knowledge in testing desktop applications in a Windows environment. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to restricted projects. This role requires onsite presence in Overland Park, Kansas.

Key Responsibilities Test Case Design

•                   Develop clear, structured, and comprehensive test cases following established guidelines and standards.

•                   Ensure coverage of functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios.

Test Execution

•                   Execute test cases for desktop applications on Windows systems.

•                   Perform validation of Windows patches to ensure it has no impact on the existing desktop Apps.

•                   Conduct multiple rounds of testing to ensure stability, performance, and compatibility.

Bug Reporting & Defect Management

•                   Identify, document, and triage defects with clear, precise descriptions.

•                   Collaborate with development and support teams to ensure timely resolution.

•                   Track defect status through closure, ensuring thorough retesting.

Documentation & Compliance

•                   Produce high-quality test artifacts including test cases, execution logs, defect reports, and summary reports.

•                   Ensure all documentation adheres to project compliance and audit standards.

Cross-Functional Communication

•                   Coordinate effectively with product, development, and support teams.

•                   Provide clear testing updates, risks, and issues in a timely manner.
