Responsibilities:

- Accounting/audit experience with non-profit organizations 

- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement innovative solutions

- Review engagements prior to partner review to ensure quality of the information

- Consistently demonstrate ability to identify and properly account for technical issues on each assigned engagement

- Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making

- Communicate effectively and directly with clients and stakeholders

- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

- Prepare client billing both timely and efficiently for review by Practice Area Leader

- Promote the most efficient firm operation by scheduling and managing firm professionals

- Meet with prospective clients and assist in proposal preparation

- Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to clients

- Support staff, seniors and supervisors by providing feedback and coaching



Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:


- CPA certification

- Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in accounting

- 5-8 years assurance experience with non-profits in a CPA firm, with min. of 1-2 years' experience as a Supervisor

- Passionate about their work and eager to learn and grow

- Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, as applicable

- Proficiency in use of computers, accounting software programs and assurance software programs

- Completion of career development CPE requirements designed to enhance management and communication skills

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Creative and innovative, with a strong desire to make a positive impact

- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals

- Valid driver's license and good MVR


Essential Physical Requirements:

- Fine hand manipulation in keyboarding 5-7 hours per day

- Fine hand manipulation using calculator/adding machine 2-4 hours per day

- Travel, as needed
