Job Description
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • The Quality Engineer works closely with the Operation and Business organizations to ensure quality strategies are consistently executed to meet customer's and corporation's quality expectations.
  • Drive root cause analysis, using proven 8D/MBPS methodologies, to identify root causes of problems identified. Coordinate containment and long-term corrective strategies. Includes facilitating customer taskforce activities.
  • Actively support organization's ISO-9001 Quality Management goals, in such areas as Audits, Documentation Control, Non-Conforming Material, PCP/FMEA, and Calibration.
  • Provide training to personnel to ensure awareness of quality expectations.
  • Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with Operations and Business personnel.
  • Support the manufacturing groups to design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Reports directly to the Quality Manager
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or equivalent technical degree, with specialization in Quality Systems and Statistics.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in QA systems, (semiconductor industry preferred).
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written/presentations) at all levels.
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion to learn new skills.
  • Experience in problem solving techniques is a plus.
  • Knowledge in the principles of statistics and statistical process control is a plus.
  • Open to traveling. Visits to other manufacturing sites, supplier and customer sites (including occasional overseas travel)
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
