Job description

The Quality Engineer Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities within manufacturing and production processes. This role ensures that products meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements through inspections, testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will report directly to our Quality Engineer Manager, and you will work out of our Acton, MA location on an On-site work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products
  • Conduct measurement and testing using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (if applicable)
  • Record and analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, and areas for improvement
  • Support investigation of non-conforming materials and assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and control plans
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company procedures, and customer requirements
  • Assist in process audits and internal quality audits
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Participate in first article inspections (FAI) and validation activities
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure proper use of inspection equipment

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience with inspection tools and measurement systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality systems software)


WE VALUE

  • College degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS)
  • Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT)

The annual base salary range for this position is $49,500 to $61,800. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
