Contract Duration: 12+ Months Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Backend skills: Java services, APIs, REST, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, and Kafka exposure.
  • Angular
  • Banking/finance experience
  • Relevant business areas include servicing, underwriting, and loan decisioning modules.
  • Hands-on experience is required; not suitable for Entry Level Candidates. For SC2-level roles, 2+ years of practical experience with domain understanding may be acceptable, while stronger/more senior profiles may have 5-6 years.
  • AI exposure: Agentic AI or broader AI/LLM exposure is beneficial but not required. Certifications, training, degree exposure, Python, prompting, or hands-on LLM use are all useful indicators.

  • Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Core work: Developer will support Java services used by the broader mortgage application ecosystem, including backend services supporting loan decisioning and mortgage workflows
  • Technical focus: Full stack Java with heavier backend emphasis. Expected balance is approximately 30% front end/UI and 70% backend.
