Job Title: WDE- Technical Instructor

Department: Information Technology Center

Reports To: Program Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

General Statement of Duties:

The instructor will train, tutor and evaluate ITC students in IT related courses included in the IT Pathways program.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructs Information Technology related course
  • Measures and records student attendance and competency level within courses he or she instructs.
  • Report and follow-up until resolution of any classroom or equipment problems in classrooms and lab rooms
  • Assists students in achieving academic, attendance and attitude standards.
  • Enforces discipline for students enrolled in assigned classes.
  • Handles the Academic Probation process for students enrolled in assigned classes.
  • Participates in curriculum development team pertaining to IT classes and certification.
  • Identifies and evaluates materials for assigned classes.
  • Demonstrates a high standard of professional excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Supervision Received:

Perform duties under the supervision of the Program Manager




Requirements:

  • Ability to integrate varied learning tools within curriculum

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a technical curriculum or education or at least two yearsโ€™ experience in an information technology related position and certified or experienced in technical training
  • CompTIA A+ required, (Must earn Python Certified Entry-Level Programming within 90 days of hire)
  • Network+ and Security+ preferred
