Job description

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you'll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This role is a hybrid position
Some roles require an office while others may be done remotely. This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Boston, Seattle, or Santa Barbara office locations.

At Sonos, we aspire to grow our Direct to Consumer channel twice as fast as the rest of our business. The Ecommerce team brings that goal to life by working cross-functionally to build a premium education experience that drives conversion and order value. Our team produces web experiences in support of new product introductions, promotions, new merchandising experiences, demand driving programs, always-on optimization, and geo-expansion.

Role Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Ecommerce QA Assistant to join our Site Production team to inspect and monitor the quality and accuracy of the digital experiences we build before we publish those experiences for our customers.

What You'll Do:

You will work in an agile environment in support of content developers, helping to audit and test their work prior to release. The role will also help to manage user acceptance testing with key stakeholders and occasionally support the Customer Relationship Management team in QAing emails and in-app communications. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate with some background in Web testing or development or for a career shift from a candidate with a technical background.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out tests in support of new experiences on sonos.com

  • Help the Site Production team drill into a broken piece of code or bad configuration using your troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Obsess over the details and ensure the finished product meets the initial experience requirements and performs effortlessly across devices and browsers

Basic Qualifications:

  • You deliver a high degree of accuracy and are detail-oriented

  • You have a strong technical aptitude and an insatiable appetite for learning and staying up to date

  • You are articulate and concise in written and verbal communication

  • You are ambitious and a self-starter

  • You are a problem-solver with excellent follow-through

  • You have excellent interpersonal and prioritization skills, with some project coordination experience

  • You are comfortable working with a team in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with web testing

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript

  • Experience testing websites utilizing responsive design

  • Knowledge of scrum and agile development frameworks a plus

  • Comfortable with Google docs (collaboration), Jira (issue and work tracking), and Confluence (documentation)

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud a plus (self-guided modules are available to the public via Trailhead)

Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. If you don't have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.

Visa Sponsorship: Sonos is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role at this time. We ask that applicants be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future.
