Job description

Connoisseur Media in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a full-time Business Office Assistant to join our team in our Anchorage office. This entry-level, in-office position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to the broadcasting industry while contributing to the daily operations that support our stations, clients, and audience.

In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining an organized and efficient office environment, assisting with listener contests, supporting promotional initiatives, and learning key administrative functions, including the backup of commercial logs. This position provides valuable hands-on experience across multiple aspects of the radio business, offering a strong foundation for professional growth within the media industry.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. If you enjoy working collaboratively, value accuracy and efficiency, and are interested in developing a broad understanding of broadcasting operations, this is an excellent opportunity to begin your career with Connoisseur Media.

Responsibilities of this position may include the following:
  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line phone system.
  • Welcome visitors, direct visitors, and callers to the appropriate personnel
  • Distribute prizes to winners and serve as a public relations contact with contestants.
  • Prize management.
  • Sort and distribute mail and compile deposits.
  • Prepare daily program logs for one or more radio stations.
  • Assist with end-of-day reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned and consistent with the job title.
