Job description

The Drug Overdose Surveillance Epidemiology (DOSE) Epidemiologist collects, analyzes, and disseminates data on suspected overdoses from emergency departments and other sources in Wyoming. The position reports to the Substance Abuse Prevention Epidemiologist and identifies epidemiologic trends to inform overdose prevention efforts. The epidemiologist collaborates with internal and external partners to share data, evaluate prevention strategies, and provide technical support for evidenceโ€based initiatives.

Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge of epidemiologic surveillance and ability to conduct epidemiologic and statistical analysis
  • Ability to use software to conduct epidemiologic analyses
  • Ability to communicate data to diverse audiences through written, oral, and website communication
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on epidemiologic problems
  • Preference for Masterโ€™s degree in public health, epidemiology, or related field with experience in public health epidemiology
