Project Coordinator 

Reports to: VP of IT Operations 

Salary: $60,000-$85,000 

Hybrid or Remote 

MNS Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to assist with planning, organizing, and executing compliance and client projects across our cybersecurity and IT service lines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and thrives in a dynamic environment supporting multiple projects and stakeholders. 

This role plays a critical part in helping our team deliver compliance-as-a-service programs, cybersecurity assessments (including CMMC), and other technology initiatives with precision, professionalism, and accountability. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and tracking activities for compliance and client projects. 
  • Maintain project documentation, trackers, and schedules (actions, issues, risks, deliverables). 
  • Collaborate with Operations to assist in scheduling and communication for project resources.  
  • Gather and organize client documentation for Compliance-as-a-Service programs and CMMC assessments. 
  • Support the preparation and management of compliance deliverables such as: 
    • Checklists 
    • Evidence trackers 
    • System Security Plans (SSPs) 
    • Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) 
  • Coordinate client and assessor meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and reminders. 
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes and track action items to closure. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for general client communication, scheduling, and follow-up. 
  • Maintain organized and secure documentation repositories, ensuring version control and audit readiness. 
  • Order and track equipment, licenses, or supplies for the compliance and project management teams. 
  • Provide administrative and operational support to project managers and consultants. 
  • Support internal process improvement efforts related to compliance tracking and client engagement efficiency. 
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned to support the compliance, project management, and cybersecurity objectives of the organization. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, compliance administration, or IT operations support. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both clients and internal teams. 
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, ConnectWise, Asana, or Monday.com). 
  • Experience managing documentation and version control in tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive, or Teams. 
  • Understanding or interest in compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC, ISO, or CIS). 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently on commitments. 
  • Comfortable with technology and cybersecurity concepts. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with MSP or MSSP environments. 
  • Prior experience supporting compliance or audit engagements. 
  • Basic understanding of risk management, IT security, or governance processes. 
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar entry-level project management certification (or in progress). 

Pre-employment Requirements:  
Employment is contingent upon completing a background check and a drug test. Skills testing may be required during the interview process. Lifting equipment weighing 25 lbs. may be required. Compensation is based on experience.
