Position Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with planning, organizing, and directing operations related to ongoing projects in the company. They perform project-related tasks as required and they also provide administrative andclerical support.


Ideal Candidate:

Recent college graduates or early-career professionals who are ambitious and eager to grow their careers in project management and electrical construction. The ideal candidate is excited to learn, develop new skills, and build a long-term career within the industry. No prior electrical construction experience is required; however, internship experience, construction-related exposure, or 1-2 years of professional experience is considered a plus. We are looking for someone who is motivated, organized, collaborative, and passionate about professional growth.


Essential Functions:

  • Partner with Project Managers and field teams to support the planning and execution of electrical construction projects while developing project management skills.
  • Assist with project documentation and communication, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, reports, and project records.
  • Support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in overseeing vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel relationships while assisting with project coordination and communication.
  • Support field and office operations through project tracking, QA/QC efforts, punch list completion, project photos, and closeout documentation.
  • Learn through hands-on coaching and mentorship while contributing to project success and professional growth.



Qualifications and Compentencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly and think through challenges effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other technology tools, with a willingness to learn construction and project management software such as Spectrum, Bluebeam and Accubid.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing to a team-oriented environment.


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow, and utilize standard construction site facilities. Team members must carry personal tools (approximately 30 lbs.) and work from various types of ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts at heights up to 90 feet. Duties involve accessing restricted areas such as manholes, tunnels, and crawl spaces, wearing appropriate PPE, and performing repetitive motions with arms, hands, and fingers. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including bending, stooping, climbing, lifting up to 51 lbs., and completing overhead work for extended periods. The position requires good vision, constant movement, and the ability to work long shifts (up to 10 hours per day, 58 hours per week), including overtime and night shifts.
