High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Must possess a diploma in an Electrical related program, and/or 3 years (6000 hours) of recent and relevant work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Electrical theory and principles National Electrical Code (NEC)
Electrical installation techniques
Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
Electrical safety standards and OSHA regulations
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively teach adult learners with diverse educational backgrounds.
Basic computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician.
Previous teaching, training, or workforce development experience.
OSHA 10- or OSHA 30-Hour certification.
Willingness to obtain specialized train the trainer certification.
Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or construction environments.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction.
Teach electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety practices in accordance with current industry standards.
Instruct students in the proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and testing instruments.
