Chipton-Ross is seeking a Materials Engineer for a contract opportunity in Santa Rosa, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Must have 10-15 years in advanced thin film coatings
  • Experienced thin film materials and process engineer. Extensive experience with sputtering and evaporation designs and processes to produce optical thin-film based products.
  • Can be involved in mentoring and training entry level engineers and manufacturing technicians.
  • Acts as primary technical contact to internal Program Managers for multiple projects. Expertise using one or more thin film design tools such as TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, FilmWizard.
  • Competent with various advanced analytical and metrology tools.
  • Solid communication skill to support engagements with customers, vendors and colleagues at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: focus on driving disciplined, fact-based and data-driven decisions while executing with discipline and urgency

REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related field.
