Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CMM Programmer Apprentice to join our team in Roscoe, IL. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming and precision measurement technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate measurement of manufactured parts.
  • Learn to use calipers and other precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
  • Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD amp;T) principles to measurement programs.
  • Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings to develop measurement plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support inspection processes.
  • Maintain and organize measurement data and documentation.
  • Continuously develop mechanical aptitude and technical skills related to CMM programming and inspection.
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of CMM programming or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of GD amp;T concepts or eagerness to gain proficiency.
