Description

Will support major client with Department of Defense (DoD) located in Annapolis MD.  If selected, you will process DTS orders and vouchers received from the client in support of their Summer Cruise training. Candidate input orders and create vouchers using The Defense Travel System for various trip types (Surface, Aviation, Sub and Professional Training Events) and process changes received from the Training Department for order completion to meet missions. Ability to utilize DTS Group Authorizations to process group orders for 2 or more travelers going to the same location/command. Will input group air bids and correct lines of accounting during the order writing process. Assist with the collection and preparation of form DD 1351-2 & SF-1164 (vouchers) submitted by travelers returning to the command. and input into DTS for traveler pay and entitlements and quality control check vouchers prior to command approvals. Must be able to work on-site at the client in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and exhibit attention to detail, flexibility and good communication skills. Must be able to work 8 or more hours a day with core hours of operations being 0800-1600 with possible weekends and holidays.  Ability to meet rigid deadlines and complete all assigned tasks independently with little to no supervision while fostering a team environment. Will communicate issues to Team Lead or Program Manager for guidance and/or resolution.

Candidates will be considered based on their prior work experience and willingness to learn, flexibility and adaptability during the interview process and ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

  • Department of Defense active clearance or ability to obtain and maintain  
  • Knowledge of DoD JTR Travel Regulations policies and procedures.  
  • Knowledge of DTS order writing and voucher processing for CONUS & OCONUS trips. 
  • Familiarization of DoD forms DD-1610, 1351-2 and SF-1164  
  • Knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS)  
  • Experience with working with Lines of Account (LOAs) and Budgets 
  • Knowledge or understanding of Centrally Billed Accounts (CBA)  
  • DTS Group Authorizations processing 
  • Ability to use MS Office, working with excel spreadsheets and/or Goggle.docs   
  • Ability to type and process daily clerical tasks to meet rigid timelines  
  • Knowledge of AD HOC reports.  
  • Knowledge of Commercial Travel Office (CTO) Reservation, policies and procedures or other travel reservations systems
  • 6 months experience working within a travel program, government or within the private sector. 


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field or experience with professional certifications.
  • Two or more years of progressive experience with degree. Degree can be substituted with experience.
  • Travel as required.
  • ISO 9001 Training to be completed by employee after onboarding.
