We are currently seeking an entry-level Production Assistant. This hourly position will support the Production team by tracking pre-production samples, updating SAP with factory packing lists, maintaining production information, and assisting with internal projects. The Production Assistant will work closely with Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Production to help ensure target dates are met for sample approvals and deliveries. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assist with tracking critical dates, time and action calendars, and the approval process for each style.
  • Maintain the factory allocation chart created by the manager and update necessary information on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Maintain weekly WIP reports from factories/vendors and monitor production status against time and action calendars. Escalate urgent production issues to the manager promptly.
  • Review WIP with the manager weekly and assist with status reporting for each factory/vendor and follow-up on outstanding issues.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to obtain production-related information and provide materials to overseas factories/vendors, including tech packs, patterns, wash targets, trim sheets, etc.
  • Enter/issue POs in SAP and follow up through shipment. Ensure changes and requirements are accurately updated in POs for factory/vendor reference.
  • Assist with coordinating production issues by communicating with Design, Sales, Technical Design, and other internal teams as needed.
  • Track, receive, and log FIT/PPA/TOP samples and washes, and follow up to ensure comments from Tech/Wash departments are sent to factories/vendors in a timely manner.
  • Assist with reviewing Ocean/Air bookings received from the Import department and escalate questions or issues to the manager.
  • Update Pre-Shipping Documents weekly in SAP upon receipt from factories/vendors.
  • Communicate regularly with factories/vendors, under the direction of the manager, to help support on-time delivery of finished goods into the warehouse.
  • Assist with identifying and escalating issues arising during the production process to help avoid late deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Production, and other internal teams to exchange information and support calendar adherence.
