Job description

Miller Edge, Inc. is seeking a Entry Level Production Assembler to assemble fabricated parts and components using hand and power tools according to standard work instructions and product specifications. This entry-level role works under close supervision and is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience seeking a career in manufacturing.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for quality of product built utilizing Standard Work Instructions.
  • Ensure that all quality-related problem(s) or product non-conformities are captured, corrected and reported to supervisor/manager.
  • Ensure that all work assignments are completed within specified job cycle times.
  • Maintain raw material supply to production line by following guidelines on material requisition procedure and communicate material shortages and/or defects to supervisors/manager in a timely manner.
  • Utilize touch screen computer equipment to move product through production process
  • Utilize outlook and company email address to send and receive work related matters.
  • Maintain safety standards according to Miller Edge Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Promote and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout plant.
  • Cross train on different production lines; provide assistance and back up to shipping and receiving areas; and, provide on-the-job training to new or existing employees.
  • Assist maintenance personnel during repair and maintenance of equipment; perform preventative maintenance activities (PMs) as needed; and, follow best housekeeping practices such as 5-S and other lean manufacturing activities.
  • Perform as a back-up in different departments throughout plant.
  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned in the support of the manufacturing process.
  • Miller Edge, Inc. has the right to add and/or redefine job responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0-1 year of general or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment and varying temperatures
