Job Summary: The RISE Program is NEFCO's premier entry-level rotational development program designed for high-potential individuals pursuing a long-term career in Inside Sales. Over the course of one year, participants gain deep operational and commercial knowledge of our construction supply business through structured rotations and mentorship.

You'll graduate from the program with hands-on experience, cross-functional exposure, and the foundation to step into an Inside Sales role supporting customers in the fast-paced construction industry.


Program Structure:

Over 12 months, participants will rotate through the following areas:

Core Rotations

  • Warehouse Operations (3 Months): Learn the backbone of our business by working hands-on in receiving, order picking, inventory control, packing, and shipping.
  • Inside Sales (4-6 Months): Engage directly with customers, process quotes and orders, recommend products, and build lasting relationships to drive revenue.

Cross-Functional Shadowing

Gain exposure to critical areas through short-term shadowing assignments:

  • Delivery Operations - Understand customer expectations and jobsite delivery processes
  • Purchasing - Learn how we source and negotiate with vendors
  • Pricing Analysis - See how competitive pricing strategy is developed
  • Vendor Management Inventory - Ride along with associate to jobsites and replenishing inventory
  • Outside Sales - Ride along with account managers and visit construction sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • Strong interest in sales and the distribution industry
