Kiewit Bridge & Marine District is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Construction Contract Administrator to support the Mobile Bridge Project, one of North America's premier transportation infrastructure projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, maintaining project documentation, and supporting project leadership in the successful execution of a large-scale bridge construction project.
The ideal candidate will possess strong construction industry experience, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of contract management processes within complex heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Kiewit's Bridge & Marine District specializes in the construction of complex transportation infrastructure, including major bridges, ports, marine facilities, tunnels, and waterfront structures throughout North America. The district delivers some of the industry's most challenging projects through innovative construction methods, technical excellence, and a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
This position is based in our Mobile, Alabama office on a full-time basis.
- Administer prime contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor contract compliance, key deliverables, and critical notice provisions.
- Support the preparation and processing of change orders, contract amendments, and claims documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, contract documents, and commercial activities.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and field teams on contractual matters.
- Track and report on contract status, change management activities, and commercial risks.
- Assist with subcontract administration, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
- Identify contractual risks and support mitigation strategies to protect project interests.
- Ensure project documentation is organized, complete, and audit-ready.
- Participate in project meetings and provide guidance on contract requirements and obligations.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, project controls, procurement, or construction administration.
- Experience supporting heavy civil, bridge, marine, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontract agreements, change management, and commercial project management processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written communication and document management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
