Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Pill Room
Location: Northern Nevada Correctional Center (NNCC)
Schedule: 5:30am - 5:30pm, Thursdays through Saturdays with alternating Wednesdays
Pay: 35/HR
Reliable Health Care Services is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in the Pill Room at Northern Nevada Correctional Center. This role focuses on high-volume medication administration in a secure correctional setting. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in structured environments with strict protocols.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer medications during scheduled pill pass with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Follow direct observation protocols to ensure medications are taken appropriately
  • Maintain medication administration records and process new orders and refills
  • Monitor patients for side effects and report concerns to nursing or medical staff
  • Manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, in compliance with
  • regulations
  • Coordinate with custody staff to ensure safe and efficient medication distribution
  • Support additional nursing duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active Nevada LPN license
  • At least 1 year of LPN experience
  • Experience with medication administration and documentation
  • Ability to work in a secure correctional environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Correctional or high-volume setting experience preferred
