Job description

Responsibilities:
- Collect and enter precise patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system to uphold the accuracy of health records.
- Schedule appointments, verify demographic and insurance details, and complete pre-registration tasks to ensure correct billing.
- Recognize situations requiring clinical healthcare staff intervention and manage patient flow effectively.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
- Support Care Coordination services and participate in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Manage Prior Authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information.
- Accurately track and record patient data.
- Attend meetings and fulfill other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a related field.
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
- 3 years of experience in advanced customer service and relevant healthcare positions.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.
Physical Requirements:
