Entry-Level Field Service Technician

Position Summary

As an Entry Level Field Service Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office product equipment. Your role supports high levels of customer satisfaction and provides valuable experience for career advancement.


What Youโ€™ll Be Doing


  • Maximize equipment up-time through timely response, efficient repair, and selective customer training.
  • Manage asset and resource utilization to achieve financial goals and create value for both Stargel and our customers.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration.
  • Provide accurate feedback, including call close information, parts usage, and customer meter readings.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, achieve a first call effectiveness of 75%, manage accurate parts inventory, and attend monthly team meetings.
  • Complete administrative aspects of the job accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as required to support Stargel Office Solutions.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Hands-on mechanical experience helpful but not required (e.g., low voltage machinery, hands-on technician, appliance repair, vehicle mechanics, AC/HVAC, computer repair).
  • Willingness to learn about repair, service, or installation of office equipment (experience not required).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfort with frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Able to travel within greater Austin area.
