Flexographic Press Operator - Relocation Assistance Available

Location: Spartanburg, SC

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 / hour, based on relevant experience and work history

Paid Relocation: Available for qualified candidates.

  • 4:00 pm - 2:00 am (Monday-Thursday)

Position Summary

Quad is seeking experienced Flexographic Press Operators to join our Spartanburg manufacturing team.

In this role, you will set up and operate flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality labels and packaging products while ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the production process. You'll work alongside an experienced team using advanced printing technology to deliver products for nationally recognized brands.

Experience operating Mark Andy P5 flexographic presses is highly preferred. Candidates with experience operating other flexographic press equipment are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate flexographic printing presses according to job specifications and customer requirements.
  • Review job tickets and ensure the correct materials, inks, and substrates are prepared before each production run.
  • Monitor press performance and make adjustments to maintain print quality, registration, and production efficiency.
  • Maintain appropriate ink, paper, and material levels throughout production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and advanced troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Complete quality inspections and production documentation throughout each job.
  • Compare printed samples against customer specifications and remove non-conforming product.
  • Perform line clearance by removing completed materials, waste, and supplies to prepare for the next job.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Previous flexographic printing press operating experience is required.
  • Experience operating Mark Andy P5 presses is highly preferred; candidates with experience on other flexographic press equipment are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize quality while working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to distinguish subtle differences in color, shades, and print quality.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring devices and inspect printed products.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to organize work efficiently and manage multiple production tasks.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed to perform job duties.
  • Ability to work a 10-hour overnight shift, with overtime and holidays as required.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
