General Purpose of the Position:

This position is responsible for moving all basic materials to operators and for removing all scrap from floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Has understanding of shop floor computer interfaces.
  • Has ability to follow Product Process Plan.
  • Has understanding of palletizing and scanning processes.
  • Handles stretch wrapping and storage of finished goods by aisle assignment.
  • Does general housekeeping and loading/unloading of trucks when necessary.
  • Follows Quality Standards.
  • Participates in weekly Safety/Quality meetings.
  • Responsible for Hazardous Waste Management duties as required.
Requirements:

Skills and Abilities Required:

The company maintains a level of progression based on qualifications beginning with the Utility classification, Rewind, Pre-make ready, Slitter, Assistant Pressman, Coater, and Press Operator. Under normal circumstances, an employee starts at the entry level position and advances as openings occur, to the next level. All training requirements, refreshers, or re-enforcement necessary will be satisfied prior to the employee moving into the next position.

Has understanding of shop floor computer interfaces.

Contacts:

Plant Management, plant supervision and other hourly workers.

Decision / Judgment:

Updates or alerts plant supervision, QA and / or press crew of possible problem areas.

Effort / Working Environment:

This position works exclusively on the manufacturing floor and is subject to exposure of moderate noise and lifting of up to 45 pounds. Overtime is required as needed.

Education sufficient to read and write.
