Job description

Central Electric Power Cooperative is looking for a motivated and curious Electrical Engineer ready to kick‑start their career as a Distribution Engineer. If you are getting ready to graduate and you are eager to work on real‑world power systems that keep communities running, this is your chance to jump in. You'll collaborate with eight member distribution cooperatives, helping design and support the systems that deliver electricity. From long‑range planning to distribution line design to solving hands‑on technical challenges, you will be doing meaningful engineering work from day one - not just observing from the sidelines.

In this role, you will get exposure to a wide range of engineering tools and technologies, including load flow analysis, sectionalizing studies, GIS platforms, and system modeling software. If you're comfortable learning new tools and enjoy problem‑solving, you'll thrive here. Central Electric Power Cooperative serves a 27‑county area through 1,600 miles of transmission lines and 130 substations, giving you the opportunity to work on systems that truly matter while being supported by experienced engineers who love mentoring new talent.

We offer a competitive salary based on your qualifications, along with a full benefits package including a matching 401k retirement, defined benefit retirement, and excellent health insurance. If you are ready to launch your engineering career with a team that values innovation, teamwork, and hands‑on learning, we would love to hear from you. To apply, please submit your resume and transcripts.
